This week I participated in the tour "Flavors of LDK cuisine" with a tasting led by Diana from Ekskursija Kaunas, which took place in Antis rūsy. Although I grew up in Kaunas Old Town, it seems that it is all explored, but during the tour I learned a lot of new facts. The tasting left an indelible impression both because of the delicious food and its presentation.
If possible, I recommend taking part in the impressive tour - the tasting "Flavors of LDK cuisine".
Sincere thanks to our wonderful guide for her patience in revealing the most interesting places of the city to restless children and their parents. I have lived in Kaunas for several years and thought I knew this city. Diana changed my mind. I will have to visit this city again and again, ...... and how much we ask Diana.

Abroad yes, abroad it was, it is, but how about Lithuania? In my native Kaunas? Did you know that the architect even changed his faith due to the appearance of the Church of the Resurrection, and the red light district was so legal that medical services and check-ups twice a week were paid for by the state? And that the interwar sculpture of a sower is associated with contemporary art? In the evening he sows stars! Do you know where? Diana will tell you not only this, but also not just any way - with a great mood and attitude! She will even "let" you enjoy a donut with coffee! Thank you! 🌸
I am very happy that while thinking about my upcoming birthday, I came across the Excursions in Kaunas post on FB. The format suited us perfectly: we had fun, had a delicious lunch and learned a lot of new things, although we certainly knew a lot about interwar Kaunas. We participated in the GDL Kitchen tour – we had a wonderful time, the guide Diana showed us the most interesting places in Kaunas Old Town and told interesting stories. Although I am originally from Kaunas, before this tour, I didn’t even know some of the objects existed. The second part – the tasting – was impressive. Not only did we hear many interesting facts, but also funny stories, and the flavors of the dishes at “Antis rūsy” left us not only full, but also happy. A great experiential tour – I sincerely recommend it to everyone. 💯
