Kaunas Castle is one of the oldest brick defensive castles in Lithuania. It is believed that Grand Duke Vytautas stayed here. Kaunas was famous for trade and crafts in the Middle Ages. It was also a city of fun - in 1570, out of 416 houses, 188 were taverns! Medieval dishes can be tasted even today - during the tasting "Medieval Dishes".
